The Root Cellar has been in business since 1972. It was purchased in 1999 by Naturopathic Doctor Kali Simmonds and her husband Pat Morris. The store carries a large variety of products including organic groceries and produce, over 300 bulk herbs & spices, fair trade organic coffee, gourmet cheese, truly natural bodycare products and cosmetics, home cleaning products, numerous supplement lines, homeopathics, herbal remedies, books and magazines. The store has a warm, earthy atmosphere, as you would expect from an authentic healthfood store, yet it is up to date with current trends and meets today's convenience requirements.
